In their thirteenth edition, these awards have recognized this project that brings to market the knowledge developed during the years of research in the sector of waste valorisation based on a principle of triple sustainability, economic, social and environmental.

The second prize, with an economic endowment of 3,000 euros, has been for the BCC initiative, presented by Alexandre Manhaes, Borja Ayerdi y Manuel Graña, for the project Cloud Service brain imaging to provide specific responses in the field of Neuroscience.

In addition, innovative or technology-based proposals will be eligible for aid managed by Bic Gipuzkoa Berrilan and articulated by the Department for Rural Development and Tourism Innovation of the Diputación de Gipuzkoa and by Spri. These grants can reach the sum of 60,000 euros, depending on the degree of innovation and interest of the projects.

This thirteenth edition of the Manuel Laborde Werlinden Award Is promoted within the framework of the Entreprenari Program, developed and managed by the University of the Vasco Country (UPV / EHU) and the European Business and Innovation Center Bic Gipuzkoa Berrilan.

The award is addressed to the teaching staff and researcher of the UPV / EHU, to companies that decide to exploit the results of a research done in collaboration with a university, through the creation of a new company, as well as graduates, postgraduates or students Of last year of the university center.
